SURPRISE Transfer...again, and when you speak like you are from Siem Reap...

Hello Everyone!

Monday:

I had to say good bye, a lot... and it was hard! I really do try not to cry, but it's hard when you have to leave your family again! Then you just worry about them when you are gone! Like they better make good decisions, and stay with the gospel! I have had so much fun in Siem Reap it has been so good. I love it here so much!! Plus I love my comp! Sister Chanthakhoun, she's the best! First kid from America! Love her it's been awesome to see her improve! After saying some goodbyes we went to FHE at Ming Mao's house. Who I love as well! It was great, we ate dinner together and then read scriptures together! They have a really strong family! I really excited for them, I think in a couple of years they could be sealed in the temple! So EXCITING!
Saying Goodbyes

FHE

I love love love love these people!

Tuesday:
Consisted of more goodbyes, and a long bus ride to the city....

Oh yeah while we were on our way to the city I got a phone call from President " we have a change in your assignment... you are not serving in Kean Svaaay, you and Sister Lines will be serving in Chamkarmorn which means we are whitewashing... haha whitewashing again!? Not going to lie I was a little nervous when he said that... whitewashing is always so rough the first week... It's all good though... I will go where the Lord wants me to go!

Wednesday:

Sister Clark took us around the area real quick... haha yeah those quick go arounds are helpful but sometimes they just make you a little more overwhelmed than before! Haha oh the joys of whitewashing. Anyways we just went to the house and got everything ready! Then we went to English class! We taught intermmedaite class. It was really good, we met two of our investigators there. They seem really great! We had like 30 students! Also it was so good to see old students/members from TTP! I had missed those guys!
My favorite Student is still coming, and my new companion!

Thursday:

Weekly planning is so rough when you are whitewashing! It was good though in the afternoon we went out and tried to find houses. We found lots of houses but most of the members weren't home. We saw Om Nae. I met her once before on an exchgange with Sister Larson. When I saw her, she was like HEY WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN! Haha she was really excited! She has been Less Active because she has been sick lately... and wow she is taking a lot of medicine for it... like way too much I think... So we shared Ether12:27 with her and told her. That those pills and everything can only do so much what she needs to do it put her trust in God and go back to church because that is where she is going to find real strength! It was really good... and she came to church on Sunday! It's been a really long time like 4 months since she has gone to church! I was so excited she came! Then we saw Ming Ruet who is an active member, but the rest of her family are LA's. She told us about a miracle in her life. She wanted to go to conference but she didn't have enough money to get a moto ride, but she had a feeling that God would take care of it, so she got a moto ride there and back, and then when she asked him how much it was. He looked at her and just said don't worry about it! He didn't want any money and she had never met the man before! So awesome I love how the Lord is so in charge! Then we met with Nada an investigator who is awesome! We committed her to be baptized next month, and she is already in 1 Nephi chapter 20! I am not kidding you she is amazing!
I have missed her!

Friday:

We saw two RC's Yiay Sem and Thida, Thida is like 10 years old and so so cute! She is super smart as well. They are a great family! We talked to them about miracles as well. Then we had a huge rain storm! We got to the church for a meeting and we were soaking... literally we left puddles... haha raining season is coming! Wahoo! Then after the meeting we met Ming Ponluu she is a RC! Oh my goodness she is so good. We shared a scripture with her and she told us about how she was preparing to be baptized but it was hard for her to give up tea and she ended up drinking some... when she drank it she got super sick, and the sisters came over.. and she felt like she was going to throw up the entire time... she was like after that I never wanted to drink it again.. She told us she knew that that was God's way of telling her not to drink it! So awesome! God is so good.

Saturday:

We did some serious house hunting! We found over 15ish houses if not more... we didn't get to meet with everyone but we did find the houses and that is the start. We ended up meeting with Ming Sochetha's family.. and they just flat out told me... they were like you don't speak clear like you are from the city... did you just come from a kite... yes... yes I did! Darn it Siem Reap I was afraid some of that would rub off on me haha! All well it is what it is... they can understand me it's just I sound like I am from a kite. Then we saw Nada again at the church and taught her the 10 commandments which she agreed to follow! She is golden!

Sunday:

Our church is at 3, so we had time in the morning to meet some members. We saw Om Chea at first. She is good. She is really old... in her 70s. She is a good active member.. we just shared with her about faith. After that we saw a investigator at the church. Her name is Srei Rain. We didn't really know what to share with her so we talked about the atonement. She is 24 years old and has one son. She told us she just wants to live with her family for eternity. She also asked tons of good questions like " did christ even suffer for the wicked people" Why is our church different from the others "how can we use the atonement in our lives" I was amazing! She is really good! I am excited to meet her again! We committed her to baptism for the end of next month! It's crazy being back in the city, but I feel like we can have some success in this area! I am really excited to met the members and help those LA's coming back! Church was good! Our Gospel Principles teacher was AWESOME! I felt spiritually ready to go after her lesson about repentance. She is a return missionary and she is so so good! I am not kidding you! Plus our investigator was way into it!

Other then that nothing else really happened just house hunting.. it's like easter everyday really! But I love my new comp! Sister Lines is awesome, and so full of love for the gospel! Can't wait to serve with her! We are going to have so many miracles! I love you all and you are all in my prayers! HAVE A GOOD SUMMER!!! Love ya!

Transfer calls already..... WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?

Hello Everyone!!

Sunday (of last week):

Really don't have too much to tell ya, just that Ming Saron, and Srei Mao got baptized! Wahoo! It was good. They both got up and shared the sweetest testimonies! They were literally like 20 seconds each! They were both super nervous. Ahh I love them both so much, it's was so cool to seem them enter into the waters of baptism. They have worked really hard for it! It's amazing seeing them start of the path that will lead them to eternal life with their families! We also went to the Elders baptism... they had 7 people get baptized :) It was a really good week here in Siem Reap! Couldn't do it without the Lords help!

Monday:

I got to skype you guys! I love you so much! It was so good to see you and hear your voices. It literally felt like 10 minutes... but that is okay... Again mom Happy Mother's Day! Crazy to think that next phone call I will be home like a month later... what the... did I ever mention that I hate how fast time goes here...haha i mean it's good but it can slow down just a little. After skyping we went to Ankgor for the last time before transfers. It was super fun... but oh my goodness it was so hot! It get's super hot during the day and then at night is gets super windy and randomly rains. then after that we went and did service at Ming Sogetha's house. We just helped clean her house and build some stuff for her garden.

Tuesday:

We went and saw Ming Saron and talked to her about the family booklet and family history book. She really wants to go to the temple! She is just worried because she doesn't have any money... but we testified that if she has the faith it will happen! Her husband and her granddaughter are also learning with us right now. I want to see them sealed in the temple so badly! Also I just have the feeling that a lot of her ancestors are waiting for her to get their work done! It's so amazing, the gospel is just amazing. So another cool story... we went to her house and she had electricity like a fan and TV. The people that she is renting the land from decided to do it for her... I had the though come into my mind... it's because of her tithing! She has been paying tithing since the first time we taught her about it! Even though she literally doesn't have a lot... since the lord told her to do it... she just listened and did it. She is being blessed for it that's for sure. The Lord is just so good! The gospel is just so good! I love it and I love being part of this work.
We also saw On Polly's mom. She told us how she had been really sick... she went to the hospital in Cambodia and they gave her the wrong pills, so then she got really really sick and had to go to vietnam to the hospital. She has problems with her blood, and she is always really really pale... She told us she just needs to be very careful, and watch what she eats and exercise everyday and she should be okay... she is just worried about her kids... We started talking about Polly her 9 year old son and she just started crying and she is really worried about him because he is sick all of the time... Then I had the thought... "promise her that if she keeps following the commandments and setting that example for Polly he will serve a mission" The spirit was so strong when we said that... it was so strong! She was crying we were all crying....

Wednesday:

We went and did service at ming leenaa's house she is a less active... the Elders moved huge rocks, and we cleaned up the house which included sweeping up leaves. you would be surprised how much we do that here, and can I just say I had never been so sweaty in my life... all I was doing was sweeping up leaves haha, but let me just say her house did look a lot better after we swept all of those leaves up haha.
Then we went to Phoom Veal to go see members but we got rejected by like everyone so we just went and shared a scripture with Parri's family.
At night we had english class, did I tell you we are teaching an ABC class! It's so fun! I love it so much on wednesday we only had two students but then on saturday we had 12ish come! It's getting bigger and bigger! I love teaching it so much!

Thursday:

We went and saw Bong Thavery and shared Helamen 12:5 with her. She told us about the problems she is having with her family. She said people keep asking me why I am putting myself in these difficult situations, but I tell them that's where my family is. She was like they just tell me I should leave them so I wouldn't worry anymore, so that I could be happy. We told her " you have a goal to go to the temple right now with your family, and those people may tell you that leaving is what is going to make you happy because they don't know of the happiness of the gospel... families can be difficult sometimes that is for sure, but overcoming those problems and going to the temple that is where true happiness is... She seemed a lot better after our lesson! I can't wait for her family to go to the temple! We need that temple in Thailand ASAP!
Then we saw Bong Sokpeak she was having a really hard time as well but after we met her and shared D&C 6:21 with her she said she felt so much better! She just loves the spirit that we bring... she is surrounded by a lot of hardships, so it means a lot to her when we come and visit.

Friday:

We saw Parri and talker about prayer with her, we are going to have her practice for baptism so she isn't scared anymore. She should be getting baptized in 2 or 3 weeks! Then we saw ming Mao and watched the Faith in Christ video with her she loved it! She has been really sick lately... she has liver diease and it's been making her really weak... but she is just keeping going! I love her family so much! Bong Thavery came during the lesson and then we brought her over to teach Ming Saron with us. They hit it off it was awesome! Seriously they like loved each other right from the start! I love seeing invstigators gain that relationship with the members. After that we saw Polly and watch the restoration with him! Then we saw Bong Chentra, and they introduced us to Bong Pisay, she is having a super hard time right now. She just wants happiness in her life again... she has got such a light... I love her! She just needs happiness and the gospel has just that. We taught her about pray and gave her the Book of Mormon! I am way excited for her!

Saturday:

We went and saw Ming Sidon a less active that just came back! She is awesome, super strong! Then we went and saw Om nao who I promised I would go climb a mountain with when i got back... so that will be fun haha! then we saw Srei Mao. We taught her about the Priestood and the Gift of the Holy Ghost. She is doing really well, then we swung by Ming Sroh's place. She is also doing good! She wants us to make her a facebook so she can share the gospel to EVERYONE! We are currently showing her how to us an iPhone.

Sunday:

Srei mao and Ming Saron got confirmed! Wahoo! Also... Ly Heng got baptized wahoo!!! He has waited 1 and a half years! I was so happy for him! He is going to be a killer missionary!

All is well!

Hello Everybody!

Monday:

We went and saw Polly a RC of ours, but he wasn't home so we met his mom. We shared with her about Faith, and how if we have faith our weakness can become strengths, still one of my favorite scriptures by the way. After we shared we just talked about the Atonement and how we couldn't imagine not having Christ to rely on during the time when we are weak. She talked about how before she discovered the church she just felt alone... but it's amazing the light the gospel has brought into her life. Honestly I have been thinking about it a lot lately... I can't imagine not having the gospel... not having the grace of Christ, there is no way I could do it, no way any of us could do it by ourselves. It just makes me want to share the gospel even more, I just think of all those people out there trying to make it through this life on their own, when they don't have too... We have someone we can rely on no matter what, who is always going to be there for us... our Savior! After we talking about it we asked Ming to give the closing prayer, and while she was praying for her mom and her health, she just started to cry... the spirit was really strong!

She passed her baptismal interview!!

Tuesday:

Tuesday was a day full of little miracles. We went and saw Bong Charm and read in the book of mormon with her. She can't read so we decided that everyweek we are going to come and read the Book of Mormon with her. She told us last week that she really wanted to start reading it, so that's what we are doing. Then we had a an awesome lesson with a member. We talked about finding revelation through the Book of Mormon. She was like "sister's I think it's inspiration that you came here talking about this because I haven't read the BOM in like 2 months.. I didn't realize I was falling spiritually until you came and talk this." We asked her if she understood about finding revelation through the BOM, and she told us actually I am way confused about that, what does Revelation even mean, I thought it was something only the Prophets can have. We explained how she could receive personal revelation, and commited her to read, and write when she did. That way God will continue to give her revelation! It was an awesome lesson, I felt like it was something Bong Thavery really needed. Plus every single day I just love the BOM more and more! It's literally like a compass for our life, if we don't read it we are literally shutting the door for revelation from god into our lives. It's so important! Then we went and saw Srei Deth, Ming Rit's daughter, we have been praying to find a member that can help us with lessons, and she literally was like hey well i am free all of the time and i love helping the sisters! Another miracle! Then we went and saw my favorite Ming Saron, she is doing great just reviewed for her baptismal interview. Then the Levitt's took us out to eat some Indian food, and get our feet massaged by fish... yeah the fish loved my feet the most out of everyones.... that must say something.... haha It was super fun though! I love the Levitts!
Fish Massage with the Levitts!

The fish like my feet the most. . .

I love the Levitts!

Wednesday:

We had a really awkward lesson with Srei Mao, and Bong Han, our investigators... yeah I don't like awkward... haha they just wouldn't talk it's like they were shy when they were with each other... but it was all good. We also went and did service at Ming Sroah's house. We just helped her move dirt, she is trying to make a brick house right now, so we are helping her get it ready.

Thursday:

We met a new less active that just came back from working in a far area. Her name is Si Don. She was super awesome the only reason she was a less active is because she was out working. Now that she is back she is coming to church every week, actually she taught Relief Society this week. She is really good she has been a member for about 10 years or more, and her son is a member as well. They are really strong, and trying to convince her husband to learn right now... but he has a drinking problem, BUT we are working on it! Then we saw On Polly and taught about Joseph Smith. He is so shy but we are going to get him to open up one way or another!

Friday:

I got to do an exchange with SISTER KONG!! I love her so much! We had so much fun on Friday we saw like 8 people that day! It was so good, she is such a good teacher and I feel like I learned so much from her. She just connects with the people so much, and the love of the Savior really shines through her. It was so fun to go on an exchange with her. I felt like she really helped the people in our area! Some of the people we saw were Om Lime, she is the sweetest Om ever who wants to go to church, but she has such a hard time understanding... but she is so cute! She has got a lot of faith. We also saw Bong Han, our investigator. She has to change houses because she doesn't have enough money... she just broke down with us... she is about to have another baby and her husband left her.... they can't afford there house anymore.... we shared some scriptures with her and comitted her to pray and start reading the BOM! I know the Lord will help her through this!

Saturday:

So this Ming was super mad at us! We told her we were going to eat with her but we ended up having a meeting so we couldn't... we didn't have her phone number, and oh my goodness the Elders called us and told us about it, so we went and saw her, and I was like Ming I am so sorry, and she told me "whatever sorry or not I am not taking it" I asked her if we could come back tuesday of next week and she was like "do whatever you want but I am not eating the food" The thing about Cambodian's they are quickly offended but they also forgive quickly as well... but you have to be forcful as well. So we just sat there and talked to her a while and after like 2 minutes she was talking about how she was going to go to america, and about her family.. haha... she kills me. She is literally one of the most sassy people i know! I also would not like to get on her bad side! Lucky we slipped pasted that one! We are going to see her this tuesday, and I will not forget haha!

Then we went and shared a message with Bong Chentra. We shared about fasting and then started fasting with her! I am hoping she gets some serious miracles from fasting :) I know it has a lot of power!

Sunday:

Nothing too exciting on Sunday just the normal church, and then we went and got Srei Mao ready for her interview on Tuesday! Ming Saron will have her interview today at 10 and Srei Mao will have it tomorrow at 5! Parri will also get baptized this week so we have a potential of 3 baptisms this week! I am so excited for them they have worked super hard to get where they are at. This is only the first step though, next step temple! Honestly when they get a temple in Thailand I am coming back to see all of these members get sealed with their families! I love them all so much! After seeing Srei Mao we went and had FHE with Ming Mao's family. We ended up sharing a scripture in DC 6:21, 34-37. It is about how Christ is the light because without him this life would be darkness... but it doesn't have to be because of our Savior!

So anyways that is what happened this week! I love you all so much! I can't wait to see you all on MONDAY! Happy Mother's day mom! Love ya! Seriously you are all the best I hope you have a great week!
