Where are the weeks going...3 months left

Hello Everyone!

Monday:

Shots for Sister Ormax...ផ្សារ

You know all of those fun P-day activities, and then after that, we had a meeting with President :)

Tuesday:
BUS RIDE, so on the way out we get a call from Sister Collins and she has to go to the hospital, so I just went with her to the hospital, no worries she is good! Hey it was good to see my good old MTC comp in SiemReap. After taking her out for ice cream, because I feel like that just heals all sicknesses, haha we went out and held the English sign at the church. I saw some members there, and I got the phone number for the District President so that when you guys come up to SiemReap we will have a TUK TUK driver haha. They are waiting for the call haha. It was so good to see them though... Ahh I love them so much!

Wednesday :

Sister Collins, Sister Suan and I went out to Branch 1 and saw some RC's of theirs. The first one we saw was Bong Nat, who has some serious faith. She doesn't have a lot but what she does have is faith. She told us "I love Christ so much, he has given me so so much, and every time I think of the Savior and what he has done for me I just want to cry." We taught her about the Jaredites and them traveling to the promised land, we compared it to her life, and she loved it. We talked about how all of those obstacles she is facing right now are leading her to that promised land all she has to do is endure and trust the Lord...

Then we saw Om Vang, who I actually saw get baptized, haha she remembered me and she got this huge smile and gave me a huge, she was like where have you been haha?! I love her so much, haha I didn't even know her that well but she is so so sweet. We taught her Helaman 5:12, so this Om speaks super unclearly and has that thick accent haha I LOVED IT I missed that accent I honestly could have listened to her talk all day haha!

After that we got on a bus to BB and then went to their English Class.

Thursday:

I went with Sister Clark and Sister Bensen, her kid. Oh my goodness they are great, Sister Clark is a killer trainer, and Sister Bensen is improving so so much! It's awesome to see the Lord's hand in their life, he really does help out those new missionaries so much it's amazing! We went and saw some LA's in the morning and taught them about faith we shared in Ether, about how faith is our anchor and it keeps us steady turning the storms. Then we went home and had some lunch, I had my first baby duck egg... in soup form... it was fine it tasted like chicken but I couldn't gone without the feathers... and it's kind of weird eating the chicken head with the beak and all... haha but hey it was good! Something you will have to try haha!

Then we got on the bus... at 3.... so our bus Soriya was broken so they put us on a random supply bus that picks up stuff along the way, and it was an overflow bus so it was super crowded. So we make this random stop and they throw in like 60 huge bags of cucumbers in the bus... all the people on the bus start cheering and saying "wahoo, snacks, I am going to steal one." Then before you know it all the people are holding cucumbers and cheering... haha so now we have this mountain of cucumbers in the back of the bus. then the person I was sitting by decides to get into a singing contest with the Lookpuu behind me... so for like 2 hours of the bus ride they were standing up with their microphone aka their cucumbers singing on the bus.... and then they say hey make the french person sing... that's me I am the french person... I was like no I don't know how to sing.... they were surprised at the answer because they assumed I had no idea what they were saying then they were like okay well can you at least dance... I was like nope I can't haha then awkwardly got out my journal and started righting... I feel like if I wasn't on my mission maybe haha it was pretty funny.... we ended up not getting home until 11:30 at night so we were dying! Super tired! Hey it was all worth it though we got three people that were interested in learning about the gospel from that bus ride, one of them being the singer sitting next to me haha!

Friday:

Went on an exchange with Sister Gallahad, who is amazing. We saw Chadeang and shared with her DC 58:2-4 about Enduring to the End.

Then after that we saw Bong Saophia and taught her about Temples and family which I think was a really good lesson for her, because they have been having some serious family problems lately It was really great to hear her talk about how much she loved her family and how much she wants them to be sealed together for time and all of eternity hopefully it gave her some fire to start going to church again! We shared with her DC 97:15-17 and talked about how she has to be worthy to go to the temple.

Saturday:

We had English class, and then we went to lunch with the Sisters.
Then we saw Ming Savon a LA we taught her about the Book of Mormon... we had her share her testimony about the book of Mormon and it way awesome the spirit was super strong when she did that. I hope that spirit will get her reading again.
Then we went and saw Om Siat and just read the BOM with her... we just read from where she left off.

Sunday:

I can't wait to go through it... actually I can wait for at least 3 months :) These weeks are flying by and it's freaking me out. I love it here I love this work, and I love my Savior!

I am running out of titles for these. . .

Hello Everyone!

Monday:

So for P-day we just went to the ផ្សារ and had lunch with some of the other Sisters. Sister Leng and Sister Winders. Then we got back and we had a sister that will be serving in Cambodia, but she is going to the temple and the MTC in the Philippines first... it was really neat we got to be apart of her setting apart. She is the only member of her family, and some of her sisters were there for the setting apart... her name is Sister Chiang, and I am way excited for her to start serving she is going to be amazing, and I know that this mission and her example is going to affect her family so so much!
After the setting apart we got to be her daikuu for the rest of the night! So we just helped her get everything ready to fly out the next day.

Tuesday:

In the morning we went and translated for President Christensen while he talked to the new missionaries about the temple, there were about 5 missionaries heading out. I am so so so excited for them to go to the temple! Honestly, it's pretty much the best place on earth... did I mention how excited I am to have one in SV!?

After that we saw Ming Somat and taught her about the atonement/sacrament... it was a pretty good lesson... I love talking about the Savior it's such a privilege that we have to testify of him! We literally wear his name on our chest and get to testify of him every day all of the time... what other time do you get to do that?! It's such a blessing. Ming just had surgery so she has been feeling a little sick but we promised her strength through the atonement and through the sacrament!

After that, we had an exchange and I went with Sister Kosal and Sister Hom! Oh my goodness I love them so much!!! The first night we just went over to the Orphanage and saw the kids there. It was the first time I've ever been there and it literally is one of the best places on earth, all the kids there are incredibly smart, and all of them are members... and most of them when they turn 18 or 19 serve missions, and they are seriously some of the best missionaries out there! It's amazing what they have done for the children there.

Wednesday:

We helped Tavee fill out her mission papers :) and then taught three investigators and all 3 of them committed to baptism! Way awesome! Those sisters are doing an amazing job in that area. After that, we finished up the exchange... I was doing the evaluation thing and I literally started to cry... haha just because of the fact that I love those sisters so much, and the mission is going by way way too fast. I am so grateful for the chance I have to get to know all of these amazing people out here... honestly, you may have to drag me out of here haha I just love it! It will be so hard! Luckily I don't have to worry about it haha i still have loads of time right?!
We got caught in a HUGE rainstorm

Thursday:

English class at the ministry and then we taught Chadaen and taught her "What I lacketh yet?" and shared Ether 12:27 with her! Other than that we just had some meetings with President.

Friday:

We saw Ming Savon a LA that is going to a Korean church and we taught her lesson 1... while we were teaching she just got this guilty feeling on her face, and you could tell she was feeling really guilty and really uncomfortable... haha so that's good :) We testified of the restoration and then committed her to reading the BOM and praying about it. She committed to it, so hopefully we can get her heading back on the right track.
we didn't make it to the church. we couldn't get through the waves of water hitting us from cars haha literally would knock us over everytime

Then we saw Om Siat and just shared 2Nephi 21:14-16 with her and talked about the love of Christ!
Then we saw Bong Lisa, and she really just needed someone to listen to her, but we shared Elder Hollands latest conference talk with her, I don't know what it's called in English haha....
Then we saw our investigator Bong Sophia and taught her about the commandments! She is working on getting baptized next month.

Saturday:

Saturday was a day of rejection... I swear ever contact was way harsh which usually doesn't happen and our investigator Om Gian locked herself in her house and wouldn't answer the door... and then her kid came out 10 minutes later and said she was gone... we call her phone and heard it go off and I asked her kid " she didn't take her phone" answer " um... well yeah she did but she just isn't picking up...." we literally could hear the phone going off... then to top it off this guy we contacted tried to explain to us how what we are teaching isn't "logical" how is it no logical... he said he doesn't need Christ... but really we all do. After a pretty interesting discussion we left and I told him " Hey listen I know right now you think you can make it on your own, but I don't know about you but for me I am weak and I know I couldn't make it through this life on my own, so if you ever reach that day where you just can't do it on your own anymore you can call that number on the back and then we left." I know today he didn't want to learn but who knows what will happen later in his life, and even though it was a day of rejection! I still feel super blessed to testify of the Savior every day! So all is well :)

Sunday:

We went on splits and I got to go with Sister Lines again! Wahoo, so in the morning we went and saw Om Sokka and taught her family history and she literally just started doing it right then and there it was awesome! We filled out her parents and her grandparents, and she came to church!!!!!!!!!!

MIRACLES!!!! We actually ended up having four investigators at church this week! Pretty awesome!
After church we went saw Chadaen, Srei Leak, and then Ming Muung.

Yep but that was pretty much the week! This coming week we are going out to the khets for exchanges we are heading to Siem Reap :) President wants us to do an exchange out there... and oh my gosh I am so excited I love the people out there they are literally my family, then we are going to BB, and KC! So it will be a crazy week :) I love being here! SETHY GOOD LUCK AT STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, you are a stud and congrats on regionals!!! Hey mom give all those sister missionaries hugs i bet they could use a mama Kenna :)

LOVE YOU ALL!!

Exchanges with Sister Hall!

Hello Everyone!

Monday:

We ended up gong to 3D world again... because it was Sister Rueng's last P-day and that's where she wanted to go :)
Take us back to Siem Reap!

Tuesday:

We took Sister Rueng to the airport... she is officially in England! I know she is going to be awesome she has a special spirit that one... she is going to effect so many lives down there. I love her! Also fun fact about the airport if they try to stop you from going in just keep going because they can't leave their post or just act like you don't understand them and keep going haha they won't stop you.. and who did I learn that from? The one and only Sister Levitt! haha!
Future Sister Missionary!

After the trip to Pochentong airport... by the way that for sure brought back memories considering it's been a year since I have been there. We went and saw Bong Mom.. she had eye surgery so she is at her house the next two weeks... so we just went and read in 3rd Nephi with her. After that we went and saw Bong Sophia and taught her lesson 2 about the plan of salvation. She understood it really well... you know it's really a neat experience teaching someone the plan of salvation because they literally had no idea where they were going until now... it's amazing to see the hope light up in their eyes.

Wednesday:

We saw Om Soka and taught her about sabbath day... she promised to go to church this week... sadly she wasn't there. So we are going to see her this week and see what's up.

Thursday:

YEAR IN CAMBODIA!!! How did I celebrate... an exchange with Sister Hall. I love her so so much. We talked about the good old Siem Reap days... it's amazing to see how much she has grown...You can really see in other people, how much the Lord really does help his missionaries and she has improved so much and it's only been a couple of months... Amazing what the Lord can do in such a short amount of time. I loved teaching with her we saw Srei Leak, an active member and we talked about miracles. I love hearing about miracles...After that we saw Bong Saophia and then Bong Lisa. Bong Lisa was having a super super hard night... it's just been hard with her family lately... if I have one goal in this area it's to see that family love and care about each other! Right now they are just kind of taking advantage of Lisa right now... She is having a really hard time and it kills me to see her so sad...

I love Sister Hall!

Friday:

Pretty much everything fell through so we ended up English class contacting :)

Saturday:

We saw Om Soka and Bong Lisa again... we are just trying to help that family....

Sunday:

We saw Chaden in the morning and reviewed lesson 3 with her!
Then we saw Bong Kontia, she is the 2nd counselor in the RS, we shared with her about charity because we figured we all could use a little bit more of that right? :)
Then we went and saw Bishop and his wife! Oh my goodness I love them so much they are going to be the first senior couple from Cambodia I am telling you! Bishop told us that he has been a member for about 15 years. The Elders came to his house and at that time he had a broken leg from a moto accident. He couldn't get it fixed because he didn't have enough money to do it... but he started learning with the elders and he said they committed him to go to church, and he was like elders do you not see my leg is broken how am I going to get there. They said to have faith and pray if the lord wants you there he will get you there. So that's what he did and little by little his leg got better without the surgery and he was able to go to church! It was a miracle!!!!!!!!!!! He said ever since that moment he has had faith. He loves the missionaries and he wants everyone in the world to know about the gospel because it gives us hope in a sinful sick world... The gospel really is the way to happiness. Bishop knows that and he wants everyone else to know it too! The spirit was super strong in their little house... just because you can tell how much love they have in that family!! Sister Ormax and I both came out of that lesson and just felt so happy... I love their family!

Well that was pretty much it for this week we are out of time but I love you all and hope you have a great week! I can't believe the temple is opening I have never been so jealous and happy at the same time! Congrats to the SV volleyball team, they are studs, and the golf team!! Go for state :) Also I love you all so much and I am so grateful for all of you!
