Plan of Salvation

So here's a fun fact you are coming to Cambodia next month! So crazy!

Monday:
Monday we went and saw Om Siat and shared Alma 37:38-41 with her. Then we explained the story of Lehi and his family in the wilderness. We taught about the Liahona and faith. It was really good, and funny when we told her that the Liahona was a compass she was like "wow it's about time somebody told me that all this time when they talked about the Liahona I was just wandering if it was a he or a she.." haha it was super funny! We bore testimony about how when we read the Book of Mormon with faith.. the Lord will start pointing us in the direction that we need to go. The Book of Mormon is the compass that God has given us so that we can find our way back to him.

Tuesday:
We met with Moneka. She is a new investigator that we got from English class. We just bore our testimonies about why we were members of the church.. we shared our conversion stories and then talk her about prayer. She is really interested in it! We committed her to praying everyday. ( Sister Ormax went and saw her another time during the week with Sister Chanthakhoun and committed her to baptism after teaching her about the plan of salvation! Moneka is someone with a lot of faith and a desire to learn! I can't wait to see her grow!

Then we saw Bong Sophia and read the Book of Mormon with her. She is doing well, but now she is selling porridge during the day and night so we just see her at her shop. It's good for her though because her porridge business to doing pretty well! it's awesome she is already receiving blessings for the covenants and righteous decisions that she is making!

After that we saw Bong Saophia a RC. We taught her lesson 2 on focused on entering the celestial kingdom with her family. Her mom is the one who we are teaching right now... who will be getting baptized on the 13th, and we really want them to work on setting a goal to go to the temple! Which they really really want to do!

Then we saw Om Muang.... yeah Om is a Less Active member that is really lonely, she is like 60+ years old and not married... she just talked about how everyone loved her when she was younger and she just didn't love them back... then she got out all of these pictures to show us just how gorgeous she was back in the day... she was like "see sisters I mean I am beautiful and everyone loved me..." every time we brought up the gospel she changed the subject... it's okay though in the end we helped her find her Book of Mormon so at least she has it out in the open now and she knows where it is haha! hey it's a start!

Wednesday:

We saw Srei Leak and shared from Alma with her as well. She is doing well! She is an awesome member!

Thursday:

Then i went on an exchange with Sister Hom! She is soooo good and a killer missionary! We went and taught Bong Nut and Nada about the Plan of Salvation! Then after that we went and taught Tam an RC about family history!

Friday:

We saw Bong Savon an RC of mine from TTP! She is doing well. She still goes to church every week, we just read the Book of Mormon with her! Then we saw Lookyiay she is soooo good! She is 84 years old and still goes to church every week I remember when we were in TTP I was struggling because well 3rd transfers are just rough, but I was so grateful for Lookyiay and her testimony. She just loves the gospel so much... She is alone with no kids, but she counts everyone of the missionaries as her kids! She is so strong and such an example to me!

After that we taught Thera and Lena about missionary work! They both really want to go when they are older! We shared in DC 18:10 with them and talked about how they can start missionary work now!

Then we saw Bong Mom and shared in 2Nephi 26:27-28, 24-25 with her!
That night I found out that Om Nye passed away as well... no going to lie it kind of caught me off guard a little bit... she was a member that I would go see in CKM every week.... It's hard because we miss them, but I know that she is so happy right now! I am just super grateful for the plan of salvation, that all the ones that we lose in this life they aren't really lost we will see them again I know it! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind! It also just makes me super grateful for our Savior who was willing to die for us to make it all possible!

Saturday:

We saw Om Sokha and set a date for her to be baptized on the 13th of November! She is really excited and she is continually growing! Her family is happier and she has more energy because she stopped selling on Sundays! It amazing to see the blessings that come from keeping the Sabbath day holy!

We saw Bong Sophia and taught her about the restoration again :) I love teaching it! I was just thinking today just how amazing the message is that we are sharing! That Joseph Smith only 14 yrs old saw heavenly Father and Christ! Its amazing!

Then we saw Bong Lisa and taught her about the restoration as well except we focused on the priesthood and how Joseph restored the priesthood power that we have on the earth today. That same priesthood power that makes it possible for us to live with our families forever! I am so grateful for Joseph Smith and his faith! Honestly this week I just can't get over how amazing the gospel is!

Sunday:

We saw Srei Phip and shared DC 4 with her! She wants to serve a mission so we are helping her prepare. We both testified about why we love our missions. One of the things that has been standing out to me lately is just the fact that in the mission we get so close to our Savior. Everything that I used to rely on before to relieve my stress or anger was taken away... like music or working out or whatever haha on a mission it's all you really truly have is the Savior and I am so so grateful for that! I know that without him there is no way I would be able to do this work! NO WAY! I am really grateful for the help and support that I have received from him every step of the way!
After church we saw Om Sokha's family and showed a video about the restoration! :)

Well that was really it for this week! I guess you could say this week was just a reminder of how amazing the gospel is! This message that we share! We are literally helping people change their lives, to learn about a 14 year old boy who had enough faith to see God and his son and had the power to translate golden plate, we are helping understand that we have these places called temples where they can be sealed with their families forever, and helping them come to know of their brother who died for them so that they can use his atonement and be healed!

I love the gospel! I am also so so excited for the Star Valley temple! It gives me chills to think about it!

Love you all!
